The New Mexico Filmmakers Intensive was looking for a comprehensive identity that would tell the story of the passion of filmmaking, while remaining accessible to a wide age range. Additionally, they wanted their identity to have the flexibility to evolve over time and through various collateral programs.

Our initial instincts (exciting, sophisticated) were met with enthusiasm and, with the addition of "hands-on" technical photography, we evolved the initial creative concept by emphasizing the cinematic aspects of New Mexico, accompanied by a contemporary logotype solution. Additionally, we developed copy concepts that drove the recruitment effort with the tag:

Response was favorable and with the initial launch goals met, we provided collateral items (website, buttons, hats, magnets, dvds, advertisments, brochures, posters, mailers and gloves) that raised community awareness surrounding the program. The second year of the program required a layer of refinements that evolved the look and feel with an eye towards highlighting the achievements of the program and its participants.
